~This is a snippet of today’s coding fun by myself and YoungSphinx. He took a sudden interest in coding so I want to nurture that interest and happen to come across this game so we decided to share it with you. Thanks for watching!~
Today I decided to read to the children today. I like reading to them. We read Beat the Story Drum, Pum-Pum by Ashley Bryan. It’s a collection of five African Folk-Tales. I would have liked to have a group of children act out the tales as we played a Djembe drum but instead I recited each story with a YouTube video of African drums in the background. It was a good time! One of the five stories had a questionable moral but for the most part, all of the tales led to good conversation and discussion. This book is worth taking a day from your normal routine and enjoying with your little ones! The only teaching resources I found for this book were in the book, Celebrating the Coretta Scott King Awards. Send us an email at email@example.com and we’ll be glad to copy them for you as a PDF file!
