I just wanted to share a series of books that I came across yesterday at the library that I’m going to try out with Miss Sphinx. The books came from the teen section but after scanning through them, I think she’d like them.
Baby Sphinx is starting to show interest in wanting to follow her brother and sister during our enhancement time so I decided to put together some activities for her to do during the day. I came up with this little idea that I actually plan to turn into a few different folder ideas as well.
This week we started working on the human body. My son loves projects and during our day on Monday he asked if he could do one. Of course I didn’t have anything planned so I looked online and found this quick one. We did a frontal side with usable lungs and simple digestive system and a back side with a spine that had the correct number of vertebrate drawn into it in the form of lines. The lungs can be filled with air and the stomach can be filled with “food.” We also added small and large intestines.

My 3 year old has taken a sudden interest in coins so I figured it was time to teach her the difference between a few of the basic U.S. coins. I got this idea from Pinterest actually.
~ Painter’s Tape
~ Money Posters
All I did was print out a set of Money Posters, that will also introduce her to a few new words, and tape them to the wall. Below them I taped labeled envelopes for her to match her coins to the posters. Next I gave her a cup of coins and we sorted coins right there on our wall. Once she got bored, I started up this YouTube playlist that I made for her for reinforcement.
